OUR TEAM

Our Pastor

Ron began serving (again) as lead pastor in August of 2022.

Ron previously served as our lead pastor from 2012 to 2018. Ron left to serve in multiple high capacity leadership roles throughout the country. As CEO of Leadership Network in Dallas, TX, Ron led an organization that convenes innovative leaders and churches in collaborative conversations to accelerate growth and innovation. He also worked with various churches throughout the southeast in revitalization and leadership transitions, all the while continuing to coach and consult businesses and business leaders around the country.

During the time Ron was away he maintained a positive relationship with Immanuel, its members, the city of Lexington and the region as a whole. It was an unexpected blessing when the church accepted Ron into the same role a second time.

Ron feels strongly that the local church should be the catalyst for the betterment of the community. This happens when the church is engaged in community needs, active in building strong partnerships with local organizations, and leading out in serving the region as a whole. During his previous ministry time in Lexington, Ron served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, completed both Leadership Lexington and Leadership Central Kentucky, served on the Fayette County Schools Superintendent Search Committee and was active in many other community events and activities.

With a long background in leadership - in the church, marketplace, government and nonprofit world, Ron is widely recognized as a leader’s leader. His blog and podcast are among the top engaged in church leadership. He is frequently called upon to assist pastors and churches around the nation and in other countries. Likewise, Ron leads Immanuel to be a church that invests in other churches. “To whom much is given much is required”, Ron likes to remind the staff and church.

We are excited about this next season under Ron’s pastorate as he leads us to follow Christ in all that we do.
