GIVE

Give Generously

Your generosity makes a difference. Thank you for being a partner in giving.

God is generous and He calls upon all of us to give back to him a tithe (10%) of what we earn. Malachi 3:10-11 says:

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease."

God blesses us and is pleased when we faithfully give back to Him! Life change happens in Central Kentucky and around the world because of your giving to the ministries of Immanuel. Thank you!

FINANCIAL FAQ'S

  • How is Immanuel’s budget used?

Your investment in the Kingdom work of Immanuel Baptist Church goes directly to supporting and staffing ministries and maintaining facilities. 10% of all general fund giving supports the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

  • How does Immanuel prepare for the unexpected?

Immanuel sets aside funds each year to maintain operating cash flow and has additional reserve account funds available to fund repairs or Kingdom opportunities.

  • How can we be confident in our financial processes, procedures, and oversight?

    • The church approves annually a detailed line-item budget prepared by the staff and finance committee.
    • The Finance Committee receives weekly financial summaries and monthly detailed financial reports.
    • Additionally, an external auditor is engaged annually to provide audited financial statements to ensure accuracy and accountability.

  • Does Immanuel have any debt?

    Immanuel is a debt-free church.

  • What does the financial health of Immanuel Baptist Church look like?

    • Due to your continued generosity, giving typically exceeds expenses. Our staff work hard to keep expenses in line with the church-approved budget. As always, we will continue to look for ways to use funds more effectively, reducing expenses where cost-saving opportunities are found.
    • We do not take the stewardship of your gifts lightly and are constantly praying and seeking the Lord’s direction with His resources. We are committed to following His lead.

  • How is the budget created, approved, and managed?

In advance of each new fiscal year, ministry leads meet with the Church Administrator, the Lead Pastor, and the Finance Committee to present their budget request and cast their vision for the coming year of ministry. We use a zero-base budget process where we budget from the ground up for expected expenses. We evaluate our recent activities and determine what we should keep doing, start doing, and stop doing. The overall church budget is then presented by the Finance Committee and ultimately approved by church members.

  • Is my financial and personal information secure?

Your information is held securely by our giving platform, SecureGive, and in our church database, Church Community Builder. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties. The church regularly monitors systems and processes to stay up-to-date on the latest cyber security measures.
